Bob Zany

Comedian Bob Zany told his first joke on national television at the age of 15. Thirty-three years later, Zany’s long, long resume bursts with close to 1000 national television stints, including Roseanne, The Drew Carey Show, and a coveted spot on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. His film credits include a co-starring role in Matt Damon’s recent hit, The Informant and the David Spade classic, Joe Dirt. The three-time American Comedy Award Nominee is currently touring concert venues across the US with The Canadian Mist Bob and Tom All-Stars. Tagging along with Bob on most of his adventures throughout the last year was the crew from Close but No Cigar, Jay Kanzler’s chronicle of Zany’s three decades on the joke-telling roller coaster, set to debut at The Montreal Comedy Festival in July. Zany treasures his sixteen year association with The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon which has included stand-up spots, co-hosting duties, fund-raising and a VP seat on the Board of Directors. Members of Zany’s huge fan base, as well as critics, describe him as “hilarious,” “amazing,” and most often, “the best ad-lib comic working today.” A Los Angeles native, Zany lives in the San Fernando Valley with his wife and two dogs.
